|Question: Are there good books on nudes, especially academic books and not just "how to draw" books or photography books?
Answer: Actually there are not too many. Lots of "picture books" though. Here are some quality academic books:
1. "Bridgman's Life Drawing," by george B.Bridgman, Dover Publications, New York, 1924
2. "Drawing Lessons from the Great Masters," by Robert Beverly Hale, Watson-Guptill Publications, New York, 1964
3. "The Nude: a study in ideal form," by Kenneth Clark, Princeton University Press, Princeton, New Jersey, 1956.
Let me know if you know of any others.
